240-MP is a retro VCR style frontend to play content on Raspberry Pi (preferably hooked up to a CRT TV).
Playback experiences are handled via modules to enable new integrations without requiring major changes to the overall frontend. There are 4 currently included playback modules; Local Files, Plex, Jellyfin and a module similar to art/wallpaper modes on modern tvs called Ambient:Mode.
I think I’ll give this a try as a potential replacement for Batocera on my Raspberry Pi 3B+. It’s just a media player — it doesn’t offer emulation features at the moment — but I I think it’s a better fit for the hardware. And I’ll probably end up using it more than the Batocera install it has now, even if just for the novelty of the interface alone.
