I was having trouble with my Ubuntu setup on my Framework. Whenever my screen would lock, the default dock in Ubuntu would appear, even though I had it disabled in Extension Manager.

It’s still not clear to me what part of the stack is causing the bug — Dash to Panel, Ubuntu, or Gnome — but the only workaround I was able to find is mentioned in the linked GitHub thread. In short, you have to rename /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/ubuntu-dock@ubuntu.com to prevent the system from loading it.
