I’m planning to build out another site — just something private for my family — and was considering using Ghost. I’ve seen a lot of people talk about it lately, including this excellent review from Jeff Perry.

There wasn’t anything specific about Ghost itself that was drawing me to it, aside from it being discussed so often recently within the circles I frequent. And the simple, genuine curiosity about other content management systems.

But unfortunately, my SiteGround plan doesn’t offer support for one of the frameworks required to self-host Ghost. And I’m not going to purchase additional hosting for this relatively small, low traffic site. The pricing for their managed hosting is a bit on the steep side, if you ask me. So unless I find something else, it’ll probably end up as yet another one of my WordPress-based project.
