VEVO Developing 24/7 Music Video Channel for Apple TV ➝

John McDermott reporting for Advertising Age:

Having an Apple TV app will allow Vevo TV to sell ads made specifically for televisions. Adidas, McDonald’s, Red Bull and State Farm currently advertise on the online version of Vevo TV.

Remember when music videos were made to promote album sales?

It would be nice to have an app on the Apple TV that housed music videos, though. YouTube will do the job most of the time. But, with poor-quality uploads and record label restrictions, watching music videos from YouTube sounds like a nicer experience than it actually is. Most of the time you end up watching an unofficial upload that looks like it was recorded on a digital camera from the late 90s.
