Tim Culpan, Peter Burrows and Adam Satariano:
Apple Inc. plans to introduce a new iPhone in September that boasts a stronger chip for processing data and a more advanced camera, according to two people familiar with the product.
This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who’s been following along. But, this bit about the iPad 3 is interesting:
The screen resolution on Apple’s new iPad would be about one-third higher than that of the iPad 2 and will boast a more responsive touchscreen, one of the people said.
I can believe that Apple’s working on a higher resolution iPad, but I don’t believe the resolution is going to be “one-third higher”. I don’t think Apple’s going to increase the iPad’s resolution until they can double it.
