I’m a huge fan of Elgato’s products and they just released an update to EyeTV for iOS. When connected to a Mac running EyeTV you are now able to stream live television and television recordings from the iOS application to an Apple TV over AirPlay.

The video quality isn’t the best — especially over Wi-Fi — but the playback is smooth and I haven’t experienced a single hiccup during my time testing it. If you use EyeTV on the Mac than this app will be a fine addition to your home screen. And, if you also own an Apple TV this app is a must-have.
