Ben Brooks mentions a seldomly talked about downside to the white iPad 2:

The iPad’s screen does not extend from edge to edge of the bezel — there is a very slight gap between where the white iPad frame ends and the screen’s display starts.

This small gap creates a black frame in-between the display and the white bezel. It sounds silly but this is reason enough for me to suggest purchasing the black iPad instead of the white one.
