If you haven’t heard, news was going around yesterday that Yahoo was going to close down Delicious. But, that might not be the case. From the Delicious weblog:

Is Delicious being shut down? And should I be worried about my data?

– No, we are not shutting down Delicious. While we have determined that there is not a strategic fit at Yahoo!, we believe there is a ideal home for Delicious outside of the company where it can be resourced to the level where it can be competitive.

It’s clear that Yahoo would rather have the cash from a sale then spend the time building Delicious further. It’s amazing to see Yahoo’s fall from grace. A company that was a startup’s dream just a few years ago is now laying off employees left and right.
