And, here is the problem with Android: according to the most recent data, which was collected during a two week period ending May 3, there are more users on version 1.5 than any other version of the OS. Android 1.5 is being run on 37.2% of devices while 2.1 is only being used by 32.4% of them.
Why should developers support new Android OS features if they can’t capture the largest group of users?
