It was leaked earlier this week, and now it is confirmed. Apple has updated their low-end MacBook with a faster processor, improved graphics performance, and better battery life.
The new MacBook is priced at $999 and is available immediately. It features a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of memory, 250GB hard drive, Nvidia Geforce 320M graphics, and built-in 10 hour battery.
The MacBook is now much closer in specs to the MacBook Pro then it was in the past. However, I would suggest buying the 13-inch MacBook Pro if you can afford it. Honestly, the aluminum enclosure is much sturdier and will likely hold up much longer than the polycarbonate casing on the MacBook.
